The Printing Press Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Offset Lithographic Sheet-Fed Printing Presses while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role requires technical skills for troubleshooting, press setup, and performing routine maintenance, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and teamwork. Candidates should have experience in color management and quality control, and be willing to work third shift hours with potential overtime.
The Printing Press Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our Offset Lithographic Sheet-Fed Printing Presses. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality printed materials. Safety is our #1 priority, and all tasks must be performed in compliance with established safety procedures and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Offset Lithographic Sheet-Fed Printing Presses.
- Perform on-press make-readies, including setup and adjustments for each job.
- Troubleshoot press issues and make necessary mechanical adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with the Printing Press Feeder and other team members.
- Follow detailed work instructions and job specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Maintain press cleanliness and perform routine maintenance as required.
- Ensure all printed products meet quality and color standards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Knowledge and experience with Offset printing and Lithographic Printing Presses required.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for job tracking and press operations.
- Ability to differentiate colors accurately.
- Willingness to work 3rd shift (10 PM – 6 AM), including overtime and weekends as needed.
- Training would be 120 days on 1st shift Monday - Friday 6am- 2pm
