We are seeking a board-certified Nephrologist for a 14-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Kentucky. This opportunity begins on Dec 22, 2025, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, with light call responsibilities. The assignment focuses primarily on general nephrology cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with the majority of time spent in the hospital.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Evaluate and manage patients with high blood pressure, kidney disease related to diabetes and hypertension, polycystic kidney disease, and kidney/renal failure
- Diagnose and treat conditions such as blood or protein in urine, inflammation of the kidneys, kidney stones, and electrolyte imbalances (high or low potassium)
- Oversee dialysis and home dialysis care as needed
- Provide nephrology consultations and follow-ups in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Participate in light on-call duties as assigned
Additional Information
- Board certification in Nephrology required
- Must hold or be eligible for a Kentucky medical license
- Previous experience in general nephrology and hospital-based care preferred
