Are you an experienced Phlebotomist seeking an opportunity in a hospital setting? We have an exciting position available with a reputable hospital in the Moreno Valley/Riverside area. Join a dedicated healthcare team committed to quality patient care and professional excellence.
Responsibilities
Serve patients by selecting and performing appropriate methods for blood and specimen collection.
Verify test requisitions by comparing information with nursing station logs; report any discrepancies.
Confirm patient identification and explain sampling procedures clearly and compassionately.
Obtain blood samples via venipuncture and finger sticks.
Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic technique and following isolation and department procedures.
Perform and record bleeding-time tests; notify pathologist of abnormal results.
Ensure quality results by adhering to testing schedules and documenting control results.
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment according to legal and hospital standards.
Reassure patients, apply dressings post-procedure, and update patient records accurately.
Keep work area organized and stocked.
Willing to travel to other facilities as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience in venipuncture, phlebotomy, and finger sticks
Excellent verbal, written, and documentation skills
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
Attention to detail and strong critical-thinking skills
Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
