Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 9-bed critical care unit in Hawaii requiring an active HI RN license and PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 9-bed adult ICU in a hospital setting
• Primary ratio of 2 patients per nurse, with possible increase to 3-4 patients if there are Med/Surg overflow cases
• Occasional care of stable pediatric patients; unstable pediatric cases are transferred out
• 12-hour day or night shifts with 72 hours scheduled every two weeks
• Minimum of three nurses staffed per shift
• May float to assist other departments but will not be responsible for a full patient team outside the ICU
• Eligible for additional compensation if assigned charge nurse responsibilities
• Team-oriented environment with strong peer support
• No COVID-19 vaccine requirement specified

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
