Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Construction & Engineering Department supporting MEP, Commissioning, and Owner teams on a large-scale data center project. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

 

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Data Center Construction

Location: Onsite

Pay Range: $70.42 - $77.46/hr

 

What’s the Job?

• Review mechanical design documents, IFC packages, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings

• Conduct field walks to verify installations meet drawings, specifications, and codes

• Oversee mechanical system installation including piping, equipment placement, QA/QC, and safety compliance

• Coordinate with MEP, BIM, commissioning, and construction teams to resolve issues and clashes

• Support testing, commissioning, punch list resolution, and final mechanical turnover

 

What’s Needed?

• Mechanical engineering background with experience on construction projects

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical specifications and drawings

• Proven troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve field issues

• Experience supporting QA/QC activities, inspections, and contractor oversight

• Familiarity with mission-critical or complex facilities (data centers preferred)
