Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with an active NM or compact license, 1 year of experience, and BLS certification for a day shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Day shifts (3x12 hours), 6:30 to 19:00
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required to similar or different units as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR (experience preferred but not required)
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Unit welcomes first time travelers
• Scrubs may be any color but must not have logos
• No travel pairs or travel groups accepted
• No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) will be auto approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license must be current at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
