Job Description

Saint Luke's Hospice House is seeking a full-time Hospice Nurse. At Saint Luke's Hospice House, you will provide end of life care and symptoms management to patients.

Job Description

• Part-time, 2 12-hour shifts per week, day shift, rotating days and weekends (3 weekend shifts in a 6-week period required)
• Provides direct nursing care to patients with terminal illness.
• Management and coordination of care to include both the patient and family.
• Completes initial assessment of physical, emotional, and spiritual status.
• Aggressive pain and symptom management, including frequent medication administration and adjustments. Management of IV infusions and titration of drips.
• Provides education and support related to end of life and imminent death.
• Open, sensitive, and non-judgmental presence accepting of different beliefs, cultures, and values.
• Uses electronic documentation to describe symptoms, interventions, physical assessment, education and support provided
• MO and KS RN license required, Associate's in Nursing
• The RN will work in the Hospice house and is accountable for utilizing the nursing process.

Applicable Experience:
Less than 1 year

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Various

Associate Degree
