Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring recent MS/Tele experience and an active OH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Rotating day and night shifts from 7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am with variable scheduling based on hospital needs
- Position follows a 3x12 hour shift schedule
- Patient population includes adults requiring medical-surgical and telemetry care
- Must be able to work at least every other holiday
- Assignments at any one health system location may not exceed 18 consecutive months
- A minimum of 6 months must pass before eligible for another assignment at the same health system
- Wear appropriate professional attire as determined by the unit
- Teamwork and flexibility are essential to meet the operational needs of the unit
Requirements
- Active OH or compact state RN license in hand prior to consideration
- Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Tele experience, including permanent and/or travel roles
- AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Required to pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation
