A Skilled Nursing Facility in Eureka, Kansas is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) for a 13-week travel assignment. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned RN with strong long-term care experience who can step in during a transition period to oversee clinical operations, support staff, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing operations and clinical staff within the facility
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and maintain survey readiness
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily clinical workflows
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and clinical guidance to nursing staff
- Collaborate with facility administration and interdisciplinary teams
Requirements
- Active RN license in Kansas or compact state (if applicable)
- Prior Director of Nursing or senior nursing leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
- Strong knowledge of long-term care operations and regulatory compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to step into an interim leadership role with minimal onboarding
