Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and EPIC proficiency for an invasive cardiology team.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cardiovascular unit with 4 cardiac cath labs and 2 electrophysiology labs
• Unit also has 23 prep and recovery bays
• Procedures include complex coronary interventions, ventricular assist device (VAD) and ECMO, structural heart procedures (TAVR, LAAO, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping), atrial and ventricular ablations, pacemaker/ICD implants and extractions, cardioversion, pulmonary artery pressure sensor implants, peripheral interventions, and pulmonary embolectomy
• Over 6,000 procedures are performed annually in this department
• 10-hour day shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with flexibility required to stay until all patients are cared for
• Weekend shifts and floating may be required as needed
• Call coverage may be required; no call scheduled on holidays
• EPIC is the charting system used and experience is required
• May care for patients who are COVID positive
• Active participation in invasive cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures is required
• Pre-assignment modules must be completed before starting and typically take 5-6 hours
• Facility is tobacco-free and fragrance-free
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract
• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a lower rate
• No license hits are accepted
• Team members are expected to float within scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab and electrophysiology experience
• Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications
• EPIC EMR experience required
• License required if applicable
• Must provide two professional supervisor references from the last 2 years
• Full 7-year work history with documented explanations for any gaps
• All time-off requests must be declared before assignment consideration
