Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least one year of recent MS/Tele experience and multiple certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)
- Weekend shifts required as needed
- Must complete either 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
- Recent use of Epic EMR preferred but not required
- No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
- All requested time off must be included prior to consideration; RTO requested after submission will not be accommodated
- Attendance policy enforces review or cancellation for more than two missed shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation
- Pass/fail cardiac dysrhythmia test required on first day of orientation
- First-time travelers will be considered for this assignment
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
Requirements
- Active SC or Compact RN license, or pending license to be obtained before starting
- Minimum of 1 year recent MS/Tele experience required; 2 years preferred
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI
- Ability to pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day
- Must be able to shave for fit testing if required
