Registered Nurse - ICU Position SummaryProvides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.Essential Functions Additional InformationPatient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.License: /Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
