Job Description
As a Security Officer - Aero/Defense Front Desk Operations in Van Nuys, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and team members. Your role involves providing exceptional customer service, monitoring access, and supporting security-related procedures to help deter incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and employees at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Monitor access control at the front desk, verifying identification and credentials for all persons entering the location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required by site procedures.
- Assist with emergency response activities at the front desk when appropriate, following established protocols.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and/or employees to address inquiries and provide information related to site procedures and policies.
- Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence at the front desk.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
