About the Role
A high-volume hospitality and entertainment venue in Houston is seeking a General Manager to lead operations, drive profitability, and inspire a diverse team. This role requires a seasoned leader with the presence to command respect and the experience to manage complex, multi-faceted operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across bar, entertainment, and event spaces
- Ensure guest satisfaction through staff training, motivation, and service standards
- Handle guest complaints and online reviews promptly
- Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and employee relations
- Manage payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and vendor contracts
- Maintain cost controls, inventory management, and budget adherence
- Supervise property cleanliness, maintenance, and safety compliance
- Drive sales through promotions, partnerships, and private event management
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of GM experience in bar, nightlife, or entertainment venues
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and command respect
- Proven ability to manage budgets, payroll, and vendor relationships
- Experience in event coordination and guest service excellence
- Certifications required: TABC, Food Handler, CPR (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
