Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations of the automotive business, including accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, tax, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, credit control, and petty cash.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Lead and coordinate budgeting and business planning processes, including the development of financial forecasts and analyses.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal regulatory and company policies and procedures.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
- Drive process improvements to optimize financial operations and efficiencies.
- Manage the calculation and distribution of sales commissions.
- Perform floor plan reconciliation and dealership controller duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Dealership controller experience is required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- Proven experience in budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Superior analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with floor plan reconciliation is preferred.
- Strong understanding of managerial finance and business planning.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement internal controls.
