The CMM Programmer will operate and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure accurate inspection and calibration in a high-precision aviation manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting CMM issues, ensuring compliance with quality systems, interpreting engineering drawings, and supporting first article inspections. Candidates should have experience with Gear Pro or Zeiss software, metrology skills, and familiarity with manufacturing quality processes in aerospace or regulated industries.
TRCTalent is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer for a long-term contract with a cutting-edge aviation manufacturer in San Jose. Candidate must know Zeiss OR Gear Pro. Fully onsite role.
● Regularly inspect and maintain CMM machines to ensure accuracy and reliability
● Ensure the CMM maintains calibration
● Troubleshoot and resolve CMM-related issues as they arise
● Ensure traceability of measurements and maintain compliance with company quality management systems

What you need
● High School Diploma or equivalent required
● Experience in metrology with programming skills in Gear Pro and hands on experience using with CMMs, Laser Trackers, scanners or arms
● Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
● Experience creating and approving first article inspections with working knowledge of the tools required for inspection
● Ability to identify/recognize inspection errors and nonconformances and initiate corrective action
● Experience with MES systems and creating inspection plans electronically
● Experience working in a manufacturing environment in aerospace or other highly regulated environments
● Ability to work within a team environment

● Associate degree or technical certification in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
● Experience creating real time dashboards using Sigma
● Experience with developing/validating automated inspection equipment in a manufacturing environment including working with SQL languages
● Experience with SAP
