- Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and 2nd Call / Backup call if needed. For this assignment, medical direction is required, and CRNAs do not perform peripheral blocks and only rarely perform epidurals, if at all. CRNAs never work independently and serve strictly as backup call to the physician, who is first call for OR and OB cases; the CRNA is contacted only when additional support is needed. An active CSR is required, and the provider may be asked to take backup call. Shifts run from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and there is no overtime rate for this assignment.
