RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide care for medical/surgical/telemetry orthopedic and neurosurgery patients
• Manage patient ratios of up to 6:1 maximum
• Work on 3 West floor, 22-bed telemetry unit
• Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time required
• Must have 2+ years acute med/surg/tele experience within the last year
• Preferred: 2+ years neurosurgery/ortho nursing experience
• Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance
• Handle medication administration and communication with care team members
• Document in electronic health record (Meditech EMR system)
• Work with standard telemetry equipment
• Float to other med/surg/tele units as needed
• Weekend coverage as needed
• Scrubs required for dress code
• Must maintain friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused attitude
• RN license required
