Position Summary:
A facility in Albany, NY is seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist I for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular procedures. This role requires working collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other OR staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care.
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
Scrub in and assist during surgery, anticipating surgeon needs
Maintain sterile technique and adhere to OR safety protocols
Assist with post-operative room turnover and instrument sterilization
Document surgical procedures accurately as required
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience, with emphasis on cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular surgery
NBSTSA CST certification required at time of submission
Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
Flexibility to take on on-call assignments as needed
Strong communication and teamwork skills
