A recognized healthcare network in New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Pediatric Cardiologist to join their growing team. In this role, thePediatric Cardiologist will be responsible for assessing and diagnosingcongenital and acquired heart conditions in pediatric patients.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5:30pm
- Setting: Inpatient
Responsibilities:
The Pediatric Cardiologist will:
- Develop and implement treatment plans for children with heart conditions, considering the unique physiological and developmental aspects of pediatric patients
- Prescribe and manage medications to control symptoms and improve cardiac function in pediatric patients
- Perform or assist in interventional procedures, such as cardiac catheterization, to address certain cardiac abnormalities without the need for surgery
- Work closely with Pediatric Cardiac Surgeons to plan and coordinate surgical interventions, when necessary
- Educate patients and their families about the nature of the heart condition, treatment options, and the importance of follow-up care
- Monitor patients during follow-up visits to assess their progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and address any emerging issues
- Engage in research activities to advance the field of pediatric cardiology
- Provide education and training to medical students, residents, and fellows
- Provide emergency care and consultation for pediatric patients with acute cardiac issues
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:- Licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey
- Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology
- Transthoracic Echocardiograms experience
Desired Skills:- Fetal Echocardiograms experience
