An exceptional position near SOUTH HOLLAND, IL, is available for immediate placement within the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging. This primary location is conveniently situated approximately 12 miles from downtown Chicago. This unique locum tenens assignment offers a diverse and challenging experience in a dynamic healthcare environment. Job Overview: Specialty: Radiology - Musculoskeletal (MSK) Location: Near SOUTH HOLLAND, IL Board Certification: Required in Radiology Fellowship Training: Required in Musculoskeletal Radiology (MSK) Practice Setting: Hospital-based Participation in Interventional Procedures: MRI, CT Joint injection/aspiration Bone marrow sampling Soft tissue/bone biopsy Call Schedule: Weekday 4 pm - 11 pm call from home (only with no day shifts on those days) approximately once a week Weekend call about 7 calls per year Average Cases Per Day: Mix of plain film and cross-sectional imaging 110 X-rays 20 MRIs/CT/Ultrasound Trauma Level/Designation: Loyola = Trauma 1 MNH and GMH = Trauma 2 Number of Radiologists in Practice: Specific to MSK is 4.8 FTEs, in the department 41 FTEs Teleradiology: Not used for MSK Patient Age Demographic: All ages (pediatrics not required) Opportunities for Research: Available in clinical and translational research if interested EMR: Epic, Powerscribe 360, Interad PACs, Softek Illuminate Credentialing Timeline: Usually 2-3 months (depends on whether the physician has an IL license in hand or not) This outstanding opportunity allows the MSK Fellowship-Trained Radiologist to contribute their expertise to a growing Radiology Department.
