Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring Pediatric CVICU experience and night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)
- Patient population includes critically ill pediatric cardiac patients
- Will be required to float to PICU, NICU, and CVSD units as needed
- Nights, with three 12-hour shifts per week
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients ranging from simple to complex conditions
- Responsible for documenting patient responses, administering medications, and monitoring physiological data
- Collaborate with physicians and participate in minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Engage with patients and families to communicate care plans and hospital procedures
- Delegation of tasks to support staff is required
- Holiday coverage may be required during the assignment
- Returning employees must have a six-month separation after completing a total of 26 weeks before being eligible to apply for another contract
Requirements
- Active Oklahoma or compact RN license
- Current BLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of one year of Pediatric CVICU experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Some computer skills required
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no locals allowed)
