This locum tenens position is for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician providing both inpatient and outpatient care focusing on high-risk pregnancies in Lubbock, TX. The role involves one week per month with clinic hours and on-call responsibilities, managing complex maternal-fetal conditions and performing advanced procedures such as amniocentesis and fetal ultrasounds. The physician will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary perinatal care team, utilizing Epic EMR and adhering to required certifications and licensure.

- Schedule: One week per month; weekdays 8a-5p clinic with call, night call 5p-8a, 24-hour weekend call
- Practice Setting: Inpatient + Outpatient
- Patients per Day: 8-10 consults plus ultrasound reads (up to 40/day)
- EMR: Epic
- Call Type: Beeper, 20-30-minute response time
- Trauma Level: N/A Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years) in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Active Texas license or IMLC
- Texas DEA
- ACLS and BLS
- Clean history Clinical Details
- Scope: Full-spectrum Maternal-Fetal Medicine including high-risk pregnancy management and advanced procedures
- Common Conditions: - PIH, HELLP, diabetes (Type I, II, gestational) - Cardiac, pulmonary, renal, neurologic, autoimmune, and hematologic disorders - Collagen vascular disease, multiples, VBACs, placenta previa/abruption
- Procedures: - Amniocentesis, cerclage, intrauterine transfusion - Multifetal pregnancy reduction and fetal blood sampling - Chorionic villus sampling and targeted ultrasounds (Level II, fetal echocardiography)
- Support Staff: - RNs: 4 - MAs: 1 - Office Staff: 4
- Schedule Highlights: - Fridays: 7 ultrasound reads and 3 consults before weekend call begins - Weekend call: 24-hour shifts (Saturday-Sunday)Compensation
