An Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner is needed to provide locum tenens coverage in a coastal hospital's Emergency Department, working alongside a supportive team of physicians and APPs with no inpatient or ICU duties. The role involves shift work from August to September, responding to emergency codes and utilizing Epic EMR, with required North Carolina licensure and certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS/APLS. This position offers prepaid travel and lodging, malpractice insurance, and strong transport support from ECU Health.

This role supports an established team with strong specialty backup and a range of shift options available from June through September. - Emergency Department only - no inpatient rounding or call
- Supportive team of 6 physicians and 3 APPs

- Coverage Dates:
- August and September - specific dates
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed
- Orientation: Required the day before first scheduled shift
- Call: None Skills & Experience
- Active North Carolina license and DEA required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS/APLS (American Heart Association) required
- Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care preferred
- Must be comfortable responding to codes
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
