Admin Assistant – Public Defender’s Office (Temporary Project)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.06 per hour

Position Overview
In this role the Admin Assistant provides timely and efficient administrative support to attorneys and clients within the Public Defender’s Office. This role is essential to maintaining organized case management and ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Organize, maintain, and update case files and legal databases

Manage client communication and correspondence professionally and promptly

Assist attorneys in preparing court cases and related materials

Coordinate appointments, meetings, and legal deadlines

File legal documents with the courts accurately and on time

Maintain daily office functions and administrative workflows

Interview clients and gather information relevant to legal cases

Communicate with outside agencies, organizations, and stakeholders regarding client matters

Keep accurate and confidential records of client information and case details

Assist with basic legal research and preparation of court materials, as needed

Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned
