- 12-hour shifts available, days or nights
- Shifts run from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Approximately 25-30 shifts per month with on-call coverage available
- Support Staff: 30-hour advanced practice provider (APP) coverage
- Average Daily Census: Approximately 71 patients per day
Facility and Patient Details:
- Practice Setting: Emergency Department (ER) within a hospital
- Beds: 366
- Patient Demographic: Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- EMR System: Cerner
- Trauma Level: Level 3
- Observance of Holidays: Coverage may be required on major holidays
Candidate Requirements:
- Licensure:
- Must hold a current Iowa medical license or be eligible under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
- Valid DEA and CSR licenses
- Certifications:
- Required: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and MRT for adult and child abuse reporting
- Board Certifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (also accepted: ABPS, IM, or FM with Emergency Medicine experience)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in emergency medicine
- Experience with Cerner EMR: Preferred
- Credentialing: Process may take up to 90 days
