Opportunity:
RN - Acute Care Med Surg
Job Details:
• Part-time position requiring 2 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM scheduled as needed
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Provide care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions
• Apply nursing knowledge and technical skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care
• Assess patient and family needs through active listening and direct observation
• Develop individualized, culturally relevant plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary team
• Provide patient and family education for self-care beyond hospitalization
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions
• Document education provided and patient/family responses
• Promote comfort and provide emotional support in a healing environment
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI only), NIHSS
• NYS RN Licensure required
• Minimum 1 year experience in Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse required
• Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens reasonably anticipated
