Position OverviewAlina Telehealth is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in Maine to provide remote inpatient psychiatric consult coverage.
This is a fully remote telepsychiatry position that offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with a collaborative, multi-state behavioral health team.
Providers with compact licensure are strongly encouraged to apply, as this role may expand into PA, OH, TX, IN, KS, and MO.
Key DetailsRole: Inpatient Telepsychiatry PMHNP
Schedule: 24-hour shifts (flexible rotation; minimum of 2 shifts per week preferred)
Coverage Type: Inpatient & emergency department consults
Consult Volume: Approximately consults per month (may exceed based on census)
Work Format: Fully remote (telepsychiatry)
EMR: Cerner (training provided)
ResponsibilitiesConduct telepsychiatry consults for inpatient and ER patients.
Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up assessments.
Collaborate with a supervising physician for oversight and case review.
Complete documentation and charting accurately in the EMR system.
Respond promptly to consultation requests during assigned shifts.
RequirementsActive and unrestricted Maine medical license (compact license preferred).
Board Certified / Board Eligible PMHNP.
Active DEA license.
Prior experience in inpatient psychiatry or telepsychiatry preferred.
Willingness to obtain additional licenses in compact or expansion states.
