American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and a current BLS certification for a Level IV acute care hospital.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency services and an attached 71-bed skilled extended care facility
- SLP position focuses on acute care with a patient ratio of 1:5
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Cerner electronic medical record system is used
- Potential to float within scope based on facility needs
- Open to accommodating block scheduling requests
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level IV trauma environment
- Caseload includes acute care patients with a variety of speech, language, and swallowing needs
- Scrub color is flexible; refer to the dress code policy
- Free parking and housing are provided for clinicians
- No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks due to orientation; only one time off request per contract, maximum one week
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
- Current state license required (license required if applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- At least 2 years of experience as an SLP in an acute care setting required
- FEES, LSVT, and SLP-CF certifications preferred
- Pending license considered for consideration
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- Submission must include 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years
