Radius Rule:100-mile radius required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active NYS RN License
- Previous PACU experience required
- Certifications:
- BLS (required)
- ACLS & PALS (required)
- Minimum 1 year Med/Surg experience preferred
- Preceptorship, charge, and leadership experience preferred for seasoned RNs
- Shift: 12-hour Days
- Schedule Requirements: Weekends, holidays, and call required
- On-Call Requirement: Yes
- Response time: Within 60 minutes
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of nursing principles and PACU standards
- Provides high-quality, patient-centered care with strong assessment skills (clinical, educational, psychosocial)
- Interprets lethal dysrhythmias
- Familiar with clinical equipment and instrumentation used in OR/ASU and PACU settings
- Recognizes and addresses patient and staff safety concerns, including safe patient handling and lift equipment
- Functions effectively in high-stress environments with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Exhibits strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation abilities
- May be required to function in a charge nurse role
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills required
