A health services network in Pennsylvania is currently seeking a licensed Physician, with a Family Medicine background, to join their staff in Pittsburgh as an Urgent Care Physician.
Responsibilities:The Urgent Care Physician will:
- Provideand managedirect patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment
- Performtherapeutic procedures, such as I&D, splinting, suturing, managing infection, and wound care
- Document and chart patient information in line with current policies and procedures
- Develop and implement patient management plans, recordprogress notes, and assistin provision of continuity of care
- Communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions
- Refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate
- Order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviation from normal
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:- 2+ years of experience in an Ambulatory Care, Emergency Medicine, and/or Urgent Care role/setting
- Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Pennsylvania
- Board Certified in Primary Care and/or Urgent Care
- DEA license
