American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 3 years of CT and radiography experience and ARRT certification for an acute care setting.
Responsibilities- Work in a Critical Access Hospital covering both CT and X-ray within the CT/X-ray department
- Department includes 1 CT room, 1 X-ray room, portable, and fluoroscopy equipment
- Patient cases include trauma, stroke, isolation, chest pain, C-arm, and DEXA
- Day/night rotating 12-hour shifts with block scheduling not available
- Shifts may also include 8-hour shifts (0700-1530, 0830-1700, 0900-1730), set by manager/team scheduling
- Required to work every 3rd to 5th weekend and every 4th holiday
- On-call/standby required with a 15-minute response time for trauma or stroke
- Meditech is used for charting and EMR; experience preferred
- Will float between CT and X-ray as needed
- Responsibilities include performing CT and X-ray scans, managing trauma and stroke cases, and administering contrast as needed
- No clinical involvement outside the imaging department
- Team includes radiology supervisor or lead tech on every shift; no radiologist onsite
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are highly valued
- Scrubs are not provided and there is no color requirement
- Department orientation will vary based on experience
- Request for time off (RTO) must be submitted up front and is limited to 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract; additional time off is not approved post-submission
- A permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility, and candidates may not have worked in any capacity for CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities in the past year
- Minimum 3 years of CT and radiologic technologist experience in an acute care setting
- Active ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Active state licensure required; pending licenses will not be accepted (license required if applicable)
- Must be able to start IVs if not already started by RN
- Experience with Toshiba CT equipment is preferred
- Two references are required: one supervisor from within the past 12 months and one supervisor or peer from within the past 3 years, with documented dates of employment
- Copy of driver’s license must be provided for consideration
