The General Utility role supports manufacturing operations by assisting with plant and facility tasks aimed at increasing productivity and reducing waste. The position involves working collaboratively with production personnel, maintaining safety standards, and performing physical tasks such as lifting and equipment upkeep. Candidates must exhibit reliability, adaptability, and a commitment to safety while working various shifts in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.
Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
Other duties as assigned.
May be required to stack parts up to 50 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.
*Must be able to work all shifts as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Must have a good attendance record.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Demonstrated longevity of at least eight months in previous employment
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment.
- Preference given to candidates with previous experience.
