This role involves performing medical disability examinations primarily through interviews and physical assessments for veterans, focusing on general medicine and traumatic brain injury. The physician must be board-certified in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, with skills in musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and neurological evaluations. The position is PRN, with no on-call or weekend duties, and requires administrative follow-up and use of specialized testing equipment.
Location: A historic city located in the southwestern part of the state. Known for its rich mining history and vibrant cultural heritage, Butte has played a significant role in Montana's development and offers a unique blend of historical charm and modern attractions. About 68 miles to Helena, the state captial. This opportunity is available in other parts of the state as well.

- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- No call or weekends!
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Must own personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops/MACs)
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Evaluations to be completed in the provider's portal and records are reviewed.
- Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis.
