experienced physicians to join a highly skilled team within our
state-of-the-art facility in Asheville, North Carolina.
About the Emergency Department:- 94-bed ED
- Annual ED visits: 100,000+
- Daily APC coverage
- EMR: Cerner FirstNet
- Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Dedicated Pediatric ED
- 1.7 - 2.1 patients per hour
- Academic Affiliation: Yes, EM residents
The ED team is organized into pods based on acuity, allowing for a smooth workflow and efficient patient care. Our physicians work closely with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide compassionate care in a
fast-paced environment.
Schedule- Shifts: 8 9 hours shifts
- No call
- Malpractice: Coverage with tail
Additional Facilities:Mission Hospital s team also supports other regional facilities, including Mission Hospital McDowell, Angel Medical Center, Transylvania Regional Hospital, Blue Ridge Regional Hospital, South Asheville FSED and Highlands-Cashiers Hospital. Qualified Candidates:- Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Strong clinical skills and judgment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under pressure
