Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring a DC RN license and national certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
• Night shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts (19:30–08:00)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Centricity, Sorian, EDM, Lawson, and Kronos charting systems
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Only one request to take time off is permitted
• Locals are accepted for this assignment
• Parking is available at personal expense and public transportation is easily accessible
• Block scheduling is not accommodated

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required—pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
• Two professional references required for consideration
