· Scheduling requirements: three 12H shifts

· Patient Experience requirements:

Hospital Specifics-

· Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI

Knowledge of vents, drips (sedation, vasoactive, etc.), care of CVC lines Advanced skills needed: ACLS Procedures performed on unit: Bronchoscopy, placement of CVC lines, placement of chest tubes, sometimes bedside scopes (EGD, Colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, trach placement) We are a small 8 bed Critical Care Unit with a wide variety of patients. Our patient population consist of adults only no pediatrics. Some diagnosis may include DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, post heart caths, we are not a specialized unit. We have a 2:1 sometimes 3:1 ratio depending on staffing and acuity. Many of the nurses have been here for 5 or more years and live in this community. Like most small towns the patient population consist of many friends and family, and it is important to our nurses to take care of their community. Our facility has its limitations with what services we offer, but the one thing that we can always offer is quality nursing care.
