The role requires board certification, licensure, and proficiency in EMR systems like Epic.

Schedule
- Estimated 4 shifts per month
- Will take call every 2 days (usually 2 consecutive weekdays and weekend coverage is Fri Mon am
Clinical Details
- Typical Day: Will accept inpatient referrals and admissions for the emergency departments. Some occasional transfers. Perform appropriate surgeries on an emergent and scheduled basis.
- Scopes are required
- Census rounding 4-8.
- Rarely any procedures other than the surgery
- Any major trauma or complicated cases are transferred
- 1-2 consult per day to be seen
- There may be 2 surgeries from the ED per week but that can vary 0 to more
- Surgeons typically will accept daytime admissions and consults at their respective hospitals.
Requirements
- Active IL License
- Active CSR
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- 1 Year minimum experience
- ACLS, BLS
- Must be credentialed at 2 locations
