Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a long-term acute care environment, requiring a current NC or compact RN license and prior travel experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a long-term acute care hospital setting
- Care for patients requiring long-term medical and telemetry monitoring
- Night shift schedule, four 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00
- Every other weekend is required
- Floating within scope to like units based on facility needs
- Uses Epic charting system
- Royal blue and white scrubs required
- 66 staffed beds in the facility
- Primary responsibilities include providing nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a long-term acute care setting
- Floating to similar units is expected as needed by the facility
- Must be gone for one year before returning as a traveler if previously employed with this health system
- Only two consecutive contracts allowed before a break of six months is required to return
- All requests for time off are at manager's discretion and must be indicated up front
- Block scheduling requests may be accommodated pending facility approval
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- At least one year of prior travel RN experience; first-time travelers not accepted
- Evidence of prior LTAC or Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred
- Professional references from supervisors within the past two years required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
- Pending licenses not accepted
