Shift: 24-hour call

Clinical Setting:

• Hospital call coverage (including weekends)
• Mix of adult, hospital, and clinic/outpatient care
• Lab & X-ray onsite
• EMR: Epic

Provider must be able to perform ERCP (no exceptions).

Additional procedures include:

• Esophageal Dilation & Manometry

• Esophageal Manometry Interpretation

• Small Bowel Biopsy

• Lower GI Endoscopy

• Sigmoidoscopy

• Colonoscopy

• Liver Biopsy

• Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube insertion/management

• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

• Upper GI Endoscopy (diagnostic & therapeutic):

  • Biopsy

  • Foreign body removal

  • Control of bleeding (cautery/laser)

  • Injection/Banding of Varices

  • ERCP

  • PEG tube placement

Requirements:

• Board Certified Gastroenterologist Required
• Active Virginia Medical License Required
• Flu Vaccine Required
• COVID Vaccine Highly Preferred
• Must be available for the full shift block Required
