A health services organization in New York City is looking to add a licensed Physician, with an Internal Medicine background, to their growing team in Brooklyn as a Primary Care Physician.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Specialty: Internal Medicine
- Patient Population: Underserved Adults (Ages 18+)
Responsibilities:
The Primary Care Physician will:
- Diagnose and treat a variety of common medical conditions
- Managechronic conditions, monitorpatients' progress, and adjusttreatment plans as needed to maintain optimal health
- Educatepatients about their health conditions and help them understand their treatment options, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Conductregular physical examinations to assess a patient's overall health and detect early signs of diseases or health issues
- Prescribeand managemedications, including monitoring potential side effects and adjusting treatment plans, as needed
- Treatcommon acute illnesses, injuries, and infections
- Maintainaccurate and up-to-date electronic medical records to ensure continuity of care and coordination with other healthcare providers
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Residency Training experience
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
- Board Eligible / Certified in Internal Medicine
- Federal DEA license
- Completed U.S. Medical Licensing Examination
- Fantastic counseling and listening skills
