We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 12-week locum tenens assignment at a critical access facility in Texas. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, offering 24-hour solo coverage shifts with a minimum commitment of four 24-hour shifts per month. The position requires independent coverage experience, with trauma and rural healthcare backgrounds highly preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide solo coverage for a hospital with an emergency department and a swing floor
- Perform all lifesaving procedures including intubation, extubation, and ventilation management
- Conduct history and physical examinations (H&P)
- Manage emergency codes and acute medical situations
- Coordinate care with limited in-house specialists; clinic-based specialists available
- Utilize 24/7 lab and X-ray resources
- Collaborate with transfer centers as needed for higher-level care
Additional Information
- Active Texas medical license required
- Trauma and independent coverage experience highly preferred
- Rural healthcare experience highly preferred
- EMR: Cerner
