Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position with required CVOR and surgical scrub experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the CVOR within a hospital surgical department
• Full-time position with shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with extensions beyond 3:00 PM as needed
• Handles surgical patients ranging from infants to older adults
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1
• Weekend shifts and on-call coverage are required
• No requirement to float outside of the OR
• Responsible for comprehensive perioperative nursing care for surgical patients
• Requires effective communication with patients, surgical team, anesthesia, and other hospital departments
• Must provide age-appropriate care from infants to older adults
• Adherence to a 50-mile radius rule is required for eligibility

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of recent surgical setting experience required
• Five years of surgical scrub experience required
• CVOR operating room experience is mandatory
