Unit: ED with 4-bed secure psych annex, 25 procedure rooms, and 8 hallway beds (Sunrise/Allscripts; Alaris/Pyxis, rapid infuser, Lucas, U/S IV)
Staffing/ratios: 4:1 typical (can flex with surges); dedicated RN/ED tech coverage for psych annex on both shifts
Patient mix: High-acuity medical/trauma—NEHI cardiac, DKA, sepsis, stroke, trauma, psych holds
Must-have: 2+ years ED experience + BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC (contract labor); strong assessment, communication, adaptability, and critical thinking
Preferred: Strong EKG interpretation; MOAB for non-contract roles
Common skills: Trauma/stroke care, lac repairs, ortho trauma, U/S IV + IO insertion, EKGs, psych and cardiopulmonary care
