Join our Team at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, San Francisco, CA as a Staff Psychologist (Behavioral Medicine Psychologist)!
The San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System has an immediate opening for a full time, permanent Staff Psychologist position focused on providing behavioral medicine services, with an emphasis on assessment of and treatment of sleep disorders, chronic pain, and other chronic health conditions. This psychologist will assist with consult review and management, initial evaluations for behavioral medicine services, provision of group and individual evidenced-based treatments, and collaboration with medical teams. They will provide assessments for pre-surgical evaluations. They will provide both in-person and telehealth care options. They will engage in quality improvement projects and assist with training activities, including supervision of psychology trainees and teaching of non-mental health trainees.
Benefits and Features
- Expected Salary range from $111,641 to $206,857 (negotiable based on candidate's qualifications, credentials and experience).
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): Authorized.
- Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases. When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
- Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year). Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
- Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.
