The LPN (Behavioral Health) position at Mercy Jefferson involves providing patient care under supervision within a psychiatric and behavioral health setting. The role focuses on supporting individuals with psychiatric illnesses, behavioral disorders, and chemical dependency through coordinated care, medication management, and therapeutic programs. Required qualifications include an accredited Practical Nursing degree, state LPN licensure, and certifications such as Basic Life Support and IV certification.
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) . Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Qualifications:
- Required Education: Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school
- License: current LPN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, IV Certification within 1 year.
