Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for 12-hour night shifts, requiring ARRT (MR) certification and strong hospital-based scanning skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital MRI setting and float between two clinical sites
- Night shifts are 12 hours, scheduled 3 times per week with varied days
- Patient population includes those with implanted devices, requiring advanced scanning proficiency
- MRI equipment includes Philips Achieva, Siemens 1.5T Sola, Unity PACS, Inteview PACS, and Cerner EMR
- Weekend rotation is required
- No on-call required, but shifts are available for coverage during absences
- Orientation includes a two-day program during the first week
- Must attend a 2-day orientation at the beginning of the assignment
- Facility operates on a nicotine-free policy
- Holiday shifts are generally not required; holiday pay applies if the holiday falls on a scheduled shift
- Team provides 24/7 MRI coverage, with optional call opportunities
- New graduates are not eligible for this position
Requirements
- ARRT (MR) and BLS certifications required
- Minimum of 1-2 years recent MRI technologist experience in a hospital environment
- At least 1 year of prior travel experience is required
- Proven experience scanning on Philips Achieva equipment and with patients with implanted devices
- Proficiency using Cerner EMR and PACS systems
- License required if applicable
- Must be nicotine free
