Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Michigan, requiring a MI RN license and 1 year of MS/Tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 46-bed Med/Surg Tele surgical unit
• Patient population includes trauma surgery, post bariatric surgery, post abdominal surgery, post amputation surgery, and urological cases
• Will also care for medical and cardiac overflow patients
• Day shift, 4x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:30
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday coverage required every other holiday
• Uses Cerner for charting
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Responsible for providing care to surgical, medical, and cardiac overflow patients
• Holiday coverage will be assigned every other holiday

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
