Dell Children's Medical Group & The Blood and Cancer Center of Central Texas is seeking an exceptional Pediatric Hematology physician to join our elite team! As the clinical partner site for Dell Medical at the University of Texas at Austin, you will participate in the education and training of future physicians. BE/BC new fellowship graduates or experienced physicians are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
• Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
• Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
• Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
• Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Dell Children’s Medical Center (DCMC) is a 299-bed free standing pediatric facility, Pediatric Level I Trauma Center, Level IV Epilepsy Center, Level IV NICU, Special Delivery Unit, Texas Center for Pediatric Congenital Heart Disease, and Inpatient Psychiatry Mental Health Unit. Our second location, DCMC North, opened in the spring of 2022 as a 36 bed hospital. DCMC is in the Ascension Healthcare Network, the nation's largest nonprofit health system. Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:
