Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with an active OH or compact license, Epic experience, and required certifications for a day shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
- Patient care for critically ill adults in an ICU environment
- Uses Epic EMR; prior experience with Epic is required
- Responsible for providing advanced care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- All staff must adhere to a 100% tobacco-free policy with no smoking or tobacco use on site
- Nurses are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free hiring requirements but all other travelers must comply
- Permanent and per diem candidates must wait one year before returning to the hospital
- Copies of required certifications must be submitted and active prior to consideration
- Locals are accepted under the same conditions as travelers
Requirements
- Active permanent Ohio or compact RN license in hand
- A minimum of 18 months ICU RN experience required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained prior to start
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two supervisory references in ICU nursing required for consideration
- Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen within 12 months of start
- No open background or license cases accepted
